Description
NERV is a paramilitary organization. Established under the United Nations, its primary mission is to combat mysterious beings known as Angels, which threaten humanity. NERV operates from a fortified headquarters called the GeoFront in Tokyo-3. The organization is led by Gendo Ikari and employs advanced mechs called Evangelions, piloted by teenagers, including his son Shinji Ikari. NERV's overt goal is to protect humanity from the Angels. However, it harbors a hidden agenda tied to the Human Instrumentality Project, an ambitious plan to forcibly evolve humanity into a singular, unified consciousness, eliminating individual suffering and loneliness.
