𝗧𝗲𝘅𝗮𝘀 𝗔𝗿𝗺𝘆 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱 ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ The Texas Army National Guard provides for the domestic support and security of the State of Texas, organized as part of the United States Army. The Governor of Texas may activate the National Guard for state active duty in support of the state of Texas in cases such as emergencies, disaster relief, border security, riot control, and to assist state law enforcement agencies. The Texas Army National Guard is commanded by the Adjutant General (TAG), typically holding the rank of Major General. The following units are currently organized under the Texas Army National Guard: 𝟳𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗮𝘁 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 - 1st Battalion, 402nd Infantry Regiment - 2nd Squadron, 503rd Cavalry Regiment (RSTA) 𝟭𝟳𝟲𝘁𝗵 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘂𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗱𝗲 - 32nd Military Police Battalion
