ROYAL NAVY SURFACE FLEET “Si vis pacem, para bellum” The Surface Fleet is one of the Royal Navy's three fighting arms, joined by the Fleet Air Arm and Submarine Service. Sailors of the Surface Fleet operate His Majesty's Ships, ranging from Queen Elizabeth-class Aircraft Carriers to Type 45 Daring-class Destroyers, and defends the United Kingdom's sovereign waters and overseas interests.
