Description
Kesultanan Kutal Kertanegara ing Martadipura, atau umumnya disebut Kesultanan Kutal, adalah sebuah kerajaan di bahagian timur Pulau Kalimantan yang bermula dari kerajaan Hindu yang berdiri pada tahun 1300 di Kutal Lama dan kemudian berubah menjadi kerajaan Islam di tahun 1575, sampai pemerintahannya secara politik dan administratif berakhir pada tahun 1960. Kerajaan ini berawal di Jaitan Layar dan kemudian berpusat di Tepian Batu. Dengan alasan kestabilan dan pertahanan, pusat kerajaan kemudian berpindah ke Pemarangan, dan terakhir di Tepian Pandan.
