Est. 20th March 2025 The Duchy of Rutland was established in 1703 for John Manners, the 9th Earl of Rutland because of his political influence and loyalty to the Stuart Monarchy in the "Glorious Revolution", and so was granted the Duchy of Rutland alongside the Marquisate of Granby. - In 1906, Henry Manners, the 8th Duke of Rultand passed, leaving the Duchy in the hands of his son and daughter-in-law, Lord and Lady Granby.
