Description
𝐓𝐎𝐊𝐔𝐆𝐀𝐖𝐀 𝐁𝐀𝐊𝐔𝐅𝐔 📜 “ 勝つべからずと見れば、しかりとて負くるべし。” ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ 🏯 Tokugawa Ieyasu, who was once known as Matsudaira Motoyasu, established his dominance over Japan after the battle of Sekigahara in the year 1600, over the Western Army led by Ishida Mitsunari. In the year of 1603, the Emperor Gō-Yōzei, granted him the title of shōgun— thus laying the foundations for the 265 year long Edo bakufu. ⚔️ In recent times however, the authority of the bakufu continues to be undermined by outsider daimyō, who intermingle with ideas of restoration of the authority of the Emperor. However, this presents a bright opportunity for the shōgun to reassert his authority by means of modernization through Western technology, and mobilization of its vast domains who swear fealty to us. 🪭 Will you, a vassal of the shōgun, take up arms and crush the growing unrest within the han, or will you perish in resistance?
