Description
The Petroleum Facilities Guard (PFG) was originally a Libyan military force responsible for protecting the country’s oil fields, refineries, and export terminals but later became fragmented and politicized after the 2011 civil war. Over time, the PFG shifted from a national security force to a militia-like entity, sometimes engaging in blockades and smuggling, making it a key player in Libya’s ongoing conflicts.
