Description
𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐊𝐀𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐀 Katanga was one of the original provinces of the Belgian Congo, known for its vast copper and uranium reserves. Following Congo’s turbulent independence, Katanga declared itself a separate state under Belgian protection, citing strong economic and cultural ties. It remained as a Belgian realm, developing its own institutions while maintaining close links to Brussels.
