Description

The Newport Ambulance Service was established in 1966, in order of the City council due to a influx of residents within Newport. Once employed by volunteers during the early years of the department, however now employed & ran by career personnel. The department is provided with $36 million dollars for the 2011 year, which remains the same from the previous year. Our department is currently designated at a maximum of 30 paramedics, and may exceed or decrease per decision of city officials.
