The Galactic Empire was founded in 19 BBY by the Supreme Chancellor in the wake of the Republic due to the Jedi’s betrayal. The Galactic Empire is a constitutional monarchy that is overseen by the Emperor, the Imperial Executor, the Grand Vizier, the Imperial Ruling Council, and the Imperial Senate. The sole objective of the Empire is to establish order and civilization.
