A successor to the First Bulgarian Empire, it reached the peak of its power under Tsars Kaloyan and Ivan Asen II before gradually being conquered by the Ottomans in the early 15th century. The Second Bulgarian Empire was one of the most dominant underdog nation in the lands of Europe in its time. The faction's capital, Sofia is protected by a medieval castle and with it's strong army. The birthplace of the true lions, the heart of hereditary monarchy and orthodox, and the protecter against evil. Built with fortified cities, tactics, a powerful army the crowned lion will stand strong to hold it's reign and protect the Bulgarian people.
