National Police Air Service ----------------- The National Police Air Service run a fleet of 19 helicopters from a network of 15 bases across England and Wales. They provide all 46 police forces across England and Wales with air support 24/7/365. They are sent by police forces to tasks that pose risks to people and communities and aim to support their safe conclusion. All requests for support are managed through their national Operations Centre, based in West Yorkshire. Formed in 2012, the National Police Air Service is delivered by West Yorkshire Police on behalf of British Policing.
