Description

702nd Tank Destroyers were formed December 15, 1941. The unit was stationed at Tank Destroyer Headquarters and Training Camp Hood. It was attached with the Second Armored Division. Unit was deployed in Normandy and participated in numerous operations. It served until the end of war taking up occupational duties in Germany.
