Description
Honored Captains and Guardians of the Soul Society, Today, we pay tribute to the legendary Squad Zero—the Royal Guard, protectors of the Soul King and the pillars of our very existence. Unlike the Gotei 13, Squad Zero answers only to the highest law: the preservation of the realms. They reside in the Soul King’s Palace, emerging only in times of crisis. Each of its five members is a former captain whose contributions fundamentally shaped the Soul Society. They are innovators, warriors, and legends: The healer, Tenjirō Kirinji; The creator, Kirio Hikifune; The forger of zanpakutō, Ōetsu Nimaiya; The weaver of science, Senjumaru Shutara; And the namer of all things, Ichibē Hyōsube. Squad Zero does not seek glory. They exist to protect the balance of all worlds—quietly, powerfully, eternally. Let us honor their service with the respect it deserves.
