Description
The Kornilov Shock Regiment would be later considered "The best part of the White Army" by the Red and White historians alike. However, all is not rainbows and sunshine for the Regiment as they are one of the badly battered part of the White Army in the Civil War, the unit were thrown head first and would sometimes exceed 200% casualties in battles. At Battle for Yekaterinodar 1918 alone, they were a force of 1,200 Soldiers and Officers, were thrown into an assault, and in the aftermaths suffered 2,100 casualties. Another more so in the Battles for Orel where they had 7,100 Soldiers, no more than 3,000 soldiers afterwards got out unharmed. Despite the heavy losses, they were also the one that saw most success in the White Army, they spearheaded offensive operations for almost the entire existence of the Southern Whites.
