Welcome to "Kyokushin" Karate. Kyokushin is a style of stand-up fighting and was founded in 1964 by Korean-Japanese Mas Oyama. "Kyokushin" is Japanese for "the ultimate truth". It is rooted in a philosophy of self-improvement, discipline and hard training. Its full contact style has international appeal. About the japanese part, we will use Japanese-American words. There will be no Japanese Translator. Japanese-American Numbers: 1. (One) Ichi 2. (Two) Ni 3. (Three) San and more but you will have to be trained to learn them.
