Description
The Lauenstadt-Amerika Line (LAL) was founded in 1889 with a clear mission: to establish a dependable and prestigious transatlantic service between Germany and North America. Under the leadership of Eva Schäfer, LAL started with a small fleet of sturdy steamships, offering regular crossings between Germany, and the United States. From the beginning, the line focused on three principles: reliability, safety, and comfort.
