Description
Mors Custodes, otherwise known as the "Death Guard", are fearsome and sacred warriors protecting holy places, rulership, and relics too dangerous for humans. Dark in their ceremonial armors, bathed in silver ribbons of death-script, they stand upon the boundaries of all perception; silent, unmoving, and unrelenting. From their childhoods in the fostering of martial discipline and ancient rites, they have been occasioned as much to protect their ritual as to wage a soldier's work. Their presence is the sign of being absolute authority and justice being asked. Mors Custodes do not engage in conversation unless ordered, and when they draw their blades, it is for the last time. They are not guards, they are death itself working through a hostile will.
