Description
The United Coal Workers Militia The coal miners of West Virginia were a force to be reckoned with, working the dangerous coal mines of Blair Mountain for years under the thumb of greedy company barons and businessmen. They had endured unsafe working conditions, poor pay, and constant exploitation, and eventually, they’d had enough. Frustrated and pushed to their breaking point, they rose up in revolt, refusing to be silenced any longer. Their fight wasn’t just for better wages or safer conditions, it was for the dignity and respect they’d been denied for far too long.
