Description
The West Virginian National Guard Deployed by the state to restore order during the unrest, the National Guard operated under direct command of the governor. Trained, armed, and disciplined, they served as the official force between the miners, the companies, and outright war. To some, they were peacekeepers. To others, just another enemy in uniform.
