Description
The State of Niles was established in the central heartlands of the Union of Columbia on March 4, 1843. Once home to riverine indigenous nations, the region saw waves of settlement from Gallian frontiersmen and Pax Britannian pioneers throughout the 18th century. Its fertile plains and strategic rivers made it a key area during the westward expansion, leading to its formal admission into the Union in the mid-19th century. Niles is characterized by its rich farmland, wooded highlands, and wide river systems. The state is divided into the Counties of Davis, Sonoma, Emerald, Saints, and Kingdom. The capital city, Colusa, located in Sonoma County, anchors the state's political and economic activity.
