Description

When the Imperia Collective fell, its cities descended into a pit of rival battles — each guarded by either the Imperian military, militias, or private enforcers. In the chaos that followed, insurgent factions, rogue prefects, and warlords preyed on the vacuum of authority. It was during this fragile period that the Sheriff issued Directive 187, forming the Sheriff’s Emergency Task Force — a standing rapid-deployment corps capable of restoring order anywhere the law had collapsed. They were not peacekeepers in the traditional sense. They were enforcers of Imperian stability, empowered to act with full autonomy under the Sheriff’s Law. The first SETF deployment — the Elysia District Riots — became legend. For nine days, the city burned. Regular deputies held their lines, but it was the SETF’s arrival on the tenth day that broke the siege. Their motto, “Peace Under Fire,” was first uttered there by a Deputy who fell against the band of rioters.
