Description
The King's Life Guard is a mounted guard at Horse Guards in London, performed by the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment. This is a different unit from the King's Guard, which is infantry-based and posted at Buckingham Palace and St. James's Palace. The King's Life Guard provides ceremonial and sentry duties at Horse Guards, a tradition dating back to the Restoration of King Charles II in 1660.
