The Canadian Army, officially the Armée canadienne, is the ground forces component of the Canadian Armed Forces.It's responsible for operational readiness, maintaining both regular and reserve units across Canada. The Army is headed by the Commander of the Canadian Army and Chief of the Army Staff, who reports to the Chief of the Defence Staff.
