Specializing in orbital insertion and high-risk rapid assault operations, the 105th was frequently deployed in small-unit actions across the Outer Colonies prior to their involvement with REACH. The battalion maintained a reputation for high casualty rates coupled with exceptional mission success, reflecting both the intensity of its assignments and the caliber of its personnel.
