Description
THE HUNNIC EMPIRE - 434-453 AD "The Romans built walls. We learned to ride around them." From the endless steppes came the Huns, a people who would shake the foundations of the Roman world. Under Attila, the Hunnic Empire became one of the most feared powers in Europe. Hunnic armies conquered and absorbed Goths, Alans, Gepids and many other warriors, creating a vast military confederation. Rome became our greatest rival. Hunnic armies crossed the Danube, defeated Roman forces, and forced the Eastern Roman Empire to pay enormous sums of gold for peace. In 451, Attila invaded Gaul, where his army fought the Romans and their allies at the Battle of the Catalaunian Plains. In 452, the Huns invaded Italy, capturing Aquileia and devastating northern Italy. Now the Huns ride again. Challenge Rome. Build the greatest empire of the steppe. FOR ATTILA. FOR THE HUNS. FOR THE EMPIRE.
