Description
The Medical Department (MD) of the SCP Foundation is a critical civil branch charged with preserving the physical and mental health of Foundation personnel, Class‑D test subjects, and even anomalous entities. Staffed by elite doctors, nurses, surgeons, and medics, the MD delivers routine care, emergency trauma response, psychiatric support, and specialized treatment using both conventional and anomalous methods. They conduct thorough medical examinations, administer lifesaving procedures in combat or breach scenarios, and monitor the well-being of contained anomalies—applying anomalous cures such as SCP‑500 when needed. The department operates under a strict hierarchical structure, from interns and general practitioners up to Medical Overseers and Directors, and adheres firmly to the principle primum non-nocere (“first, do no harm”). This ensures the Foundation upholds both operational readiness and humane treatment standards across its classified missions.
