𝐍𝐎𝐑𝐖𝐄𝐆𝐈𝐀𝐍 𝐅𝐈𝐑𝐒𝐓 𝐃𝐈𝐕𝐈𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍 The 1st division is one of the main territorial units of the Norwegian Army. It is responsible for the defense of southern Norway, including key regions like Oslo and the surrounding Østlandet area. The Norwegian first divison is organised in the first, second and third infantry regiments and represents the Norwegian attempt at maintaining territorial defense with limited resources, heavily relying on conscripts and reservists. The Norwegian first division is primarily equipped with Krag–Jørgensen M1894 rifles and is the only motorized division in the Norwegian army. The division is equipped with motorbikes, trucks and Landsverk L120 light tanks.
