The Empire was a result of the reformed corrupted Republic. Its leader, Palpatine, completely militarized this Empire spreading its forces throughout the galaxy to keep peace and order. The Imperial Army is made up of millions, if not, billions of stormtroopers. These trained stormtroopers are meant to put fear into anyone who thinks rebelliously of the Empire.
