Description
Imperial shock troopers are the special forces Stormtrooper that formed the Coruscant Guard. They are trained as elite shock troopers specifically for deployment on the planet Coruscant, and to provide security aboard Imperial starships. There, as well as on a few other select Core Worlds, the Imperial shock troopers serve primarily as security police for Imperial government buildings and as prison guards. They also perform duties such as bodyguards for Imperial officials and as urban peacekeepers with some troopers trained specifically for riot control. In addition to the civilian police on Imperial worlds, as military police they can take over investigations as well, and are treated as regular patrolling police when they are out and about.
