Description
--An RP group for Verdun-- _____________________________ {History} After the end of Portuguese neutrality in 1916, the CEP (Corpo Expedicionário Português) or the Portuguese Expeditionary Corps was raised soon after Germany declared war and consisted of 55,000 men. The CEP was the main fighting force of the Portuguese on the Western Front during World War 1 and would be disbanded at the end of 1918. Portuguese forces were mainly equipped with British gear, but also made use of French gear. They fought bravely during the war whilst their allies continuously abandoned them. ______________________________
