Description
🌿 Für Ruhm und Vaterland 1656 - Württemberg stood between the ambitions of the Holy Roman Empire and its powerful neighbors. Though officially part of the Empire, years of war, heavy taxation, and political unrest had left the duchy weakened. A secret council of nobles and officers united to restore the nation. After three years of struggle, Württemberg secured its independence in 1659, emerging free but exhausted. 1786 - King Friedrich I ascended the throne and rebuilt the kingdom through military reforms, fair taxation, and renewed trade. Austria declared war soon after, but Württemberg emerged victorious in 1789. 1804 - Seeking to secure its future, Württemberg declared war on Bavaria. The first winter campaign proved disastrous, but with the arrival of spring in 1805, Württemberg's armies captured Munich, leading to the Treaty of Stuttgart. Für Ehre, Freiheit und Württemberg!
