Description
Some of the first people to arrive in Tamriel from the continent of Atmora, the Dragon Cult originally worshipped many animals as avatars of the gods, the dragons among them. The dragons granted the cultists terrible power in exchange for complete obedience. In the late Merethic era, the Dragon War followed, Alduin was banished and resulted in the defeat and overthrow of the Dragon Cult entirely. Now long since dead, the ancient remains of the Dragon Cult stir from death, thousands of years of preparation in their tombs to punish the living for their transgressions against the dragons. The Priests have also been marshaling their strength from their undead followers, achieving great power and organizing what remains of the fallen Cult. Eventually, the Dragon Cult will resurface and plague Tamriel once more in a costly bid for power.
