Description
The lands of Kievan Rus were once united under the early princes of Kiev, but over time that unity collapsed into rival principalities, each struggling for power and survival. Long before the rise of strong defenders like Alexander Nevsky, the realm had already been weakened by internal division and constant political conflict. It has not been easy for the Rus lands, with fractured leadership, civil rivalry, and pressure from foreign forces on every side, leaving the state deeply weakened. It is now the mid-13th century, a turning point in a broken age. The Mongol invasions have swept through the lands, forcing tribute and dominance over the Rus principalities, while crusading orders from the west threaten further conquest under the banner of faith. The old unity of Rus has not been restored, and a true center of power has yet to fully emerge. Join the princes campaigns to stabilise to rus.
