The Society of the Breaking Dawn, formally known as the Society of the Prime Jedi for the Restoration of the Ancient Tradition of the Holy Order of Jedi Knights, is a secret traditionalist fraternity operating within the Jedi Order during the final centuries of the Galactic Republic. Rejecting the post-Ruusan reinterpretation of Jedi life, the Society seeks to preserve what it regarded as the authentic philosophical, juridical, and institutional inheritance of the ancient Jedi while remaining fully within the visible Order.
