- New Salem Philanthropic Society - #3850757
Description
The New Salem Philanthropic Society was active in the 1920s and was led by Mary Lou Barebone. Mary Lou was a descendant of an unknown Scourer that escaped capture in the 17th century. She was also related to Bartho Barebone, the man who propelled one of the largest ever breaches of the International Statute of Secrecy. It is very possible that her hatred of magic and therefore the Society's hatred of magic stems from her connection to Bartho. Their meeting place was a "dingy" church in Pk Street, New York City where they ran a soup kitchen for poor children to whom they distributed anti-magic pamphlets. ❈┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉❈

Growth
Growth history is still building. We hold one measurement for this entry. A trend needs at least two, taken days apart — so this will fill in on its own rather than being estimated. We do not publish numbers we have not measured.
