Description

The 25th Aviation Battalion was officially established in May of 1985 following the passage of the Aerial Defense Act, which allocated funding for Mayflower National Guard Aviation Assets. Initially formed as part of the Mayflower National Guard, the battalion was stationed out of Fort Standish and tasked with training pilots and mechanics to support reconnaissance and aerial operations throughout South East Asia. Today, the battalion acts as the state-level military air support unit of the Mayflower National Guard still stationed out of Fort Standish, and may be called upon by the President of the Union of Columbia to deploy in support of federal efforts.
