Description
This “Covenant”, as it is known by its followers, was a major splinter faction of the former Covenant Empire who continued to worship the Forerunners and opposed the United Nations Space Command after the end of the Human-Covenant War. The faction was led by Supreme Commander Jul 'Mdama. Although the faction was generally recognized as a Sangheili re-creation of the original Covenant, and indeed was generally identified as "the Covenant", its members were identified as terrorists by the UNSC and the organization itself was regarded as closer to a religious cult as opposed to the full-fledged empire of the original Covenant.
