(“From the Mountains, Liberty!”) The State of Franklin was first founded in 1784, formed from the lands of Eastern Tennessee and Western North Carolina in the Appalachian Mountains. Though the original bid for statehood failed, Franklin lives on here as a fictional continuation — a great American state set in the heart of Appalachia. Come explore a land of mountains, rivers, and freedom.
