𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐃𝐎𝐌 𝐎𝐅 𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑 𝑺𝒖𝒔𝒄𝒊𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒆𝒕 𝑭𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒓𝒆 The Electorate of Hanover was where the Georgian line of English Kings originated and kept close ties with their place of origin. In 1814, at the Congress of Vienna, the small Electorate was furnished with large tracts of territory, and given the elevated status of a Kingdom. Thus, the now new Kingdom of Hanover entered into a personal union with the United Kingdom, and King George III of Great Britain also became the King of Hanover. Throughout it's long and complex history, Hanover has long since been associated with greatness.
