Description

Founded in 2000, the Mayflower State Interdepartmental Task Force (MSITF) was created to strengthen cooperation between law enforcement agencies across the state. As violent firearm-related crime began to rise, officials saw the need for a unified organization that could better equip and support local police. The MSITF brings together personnel from city police, county sheriff’s offices, and state agencies to provide advanced equipment, coordinated response, and specialized training. Its mission is to enhance officer readiness and ensure a fast, effective response to high-risk incidents involving armed offenders. Today, MSITF serves as a central force for interagency support, improving public safety through coordination, preparedness, and shared resources.
