𝐅𝐄𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐋 𝐀𝐑𝐌𝐘 𝐎𝐅 𝐀𝐌𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐀 - 𝐅𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐃 𝐅𝐄𝐁𝐑𝐔𝐀𝐑𝐘 𝟏𝟒, 𝟐𝟎𝟏𝟒 In April 1846, the Mexican Government gathered a regional force of 1,600 soldiers under the command of General Anastasio Torrejón to ambush 80 U.S. soldiers, 11 of which were killed and many more falsely imprisoned. In response, President James K. Polk made a patriotic call to Congress that war must be declared on Mexico. We now are now tasked with thwarting the Mexican invasion of our homeland. Make ready in the name of manifest destiny! God is on our side!
