Description
Herzogtum Braunschweig (Duchy of Brunswick) was a German state formed in 1180. Preceding the formation of the Kingdom of Westphalia, it was invaded and occupied by French Forces and incorporated into Westphalia in 1807. Volunteers served in the Brunswick Ducal Field Corp to liberate their homeland and were successful, with Brunswick regaining independence in 1813. Brunswickian forces would go on to fight in key campaigns against France including Quatre Bras and Waterloo. Promotions and awards are earned, not given.
