ERA: 2 Before Aegon's Conquest ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ A roleplay group based on the fantasy universe of the 'A Song of Ice and Fire' novels. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ The Kingdom of the Iron Islands are one of the kingdoms in Westeros. It has been ruled by the Kings of the Iron Islands for thousands of years, each King being elected by a 'kingsmoot' a democratic tradition in the autocratic nature of Westeros. The Iron Islands are home to a fierce seafaring people who call themselves the ironborn. While some say the archipelago is named after the abundant iron ore on the islands, the ironmen claim it is instead named after their own unyielding nature.
