Description

The Mount Carmel Railroad [MCRR] was originally an old Reading Company/Reading Lines line. After being saved from destruction by a local railroad enthusiast, it now operates between the towns of Selinsgrove and Girardville. It runs two operating ex-Reading Camelback steam locomotives, and hauls both freight and passengers, the main freight customer being local coal companies. It takes you on a scenic trip through Central Pennsylvania, taking you past the Susquehanna River and the famous town of Centralia. This railroad is a work of fiction, though towns are real. We encourage you to look up Centralia Pennsylvania, or, at least it was...
