Description
The Bureau of Biological Surveillance must aim to safeguard public health and welfare through the early detection and monitoring of emerging biological threats. In coordination with other HHS agencies and offices, BBS conducts specialized investigation and analysis, as well as the research about the nature and behavior of unidentified biological bodies and the application of that knowledge to enhance national health and security.
