Description
Leib-Regiment von Hessen-Darmstadt, or Life-Regiment of Hesse-Darmstadt, is one of the infantry regiments of Hesse-Darmstadt. The unit was originally organized as the Brigade Landgraf in 1803 from the regiment of its namesake and the disbanded Leib-Grenadier-Bataillon, and later became Leib-Regiment in 1812. As the foreign regiment of the Deuxième Corps, it has played a significant role in the military structure.
