Description
The Galactic Empire, a formidable and iconic entity in the Star Wars universe, was a vast authoritarian regime that rose to power following the turbulent events of the Clone Wars. Founded by Emperor Sheev Palpatine, also known as Darth Sidious, and his apprentice Darth Vader, formerly Anakin Skywalker, the Empire aimed to bring order and stability to a galaxy mired in chaos and political corruption. The seeds of the Galactic Empire were sown during the Clone Wars, a conflict between the Galactic Republic and the separatist Confederacy of Independent Systems. Chancellor Palpatine, who secretly orchestrated both sides of the war, manipulated events to ###### more power. As the war neared its conclusion, he declared the Jedi Knights as traitors and branded Despite the Empire's tight grip on power, a brave group of individuals formed the Rebel Alliance to oppose its tyranny. The Rebel Alliance's struggle against the Empire became the central conflict of the original Star Wars trilogy.
