- INFORMATION - The Master-at-Arms rating comprises the dedicated military police force of the United States Navy. Sailors in this rating are responsible for force protection, physical security, anti-terrorism tactics, and law enforcement duties across naval installations and waterborne platforms worldwide. MAAs conduct shore patrols, operate military K-9 units, protect high-value assets, manage brigs (military prisons), and train afloat crews in small arms and non-lethal weapons tactics to secure naval personnel and property.
