Description
The HEMS Division serves as Concord EMS's specialized aeromedical response unit, providing rapid deployment and advanced emergency medical care to patients in critical condition. This division is responsible for supporting major incidents, remote-area emergencies, mass casualty events, and situations where ground transport may be delayed or impractical. Members are trained to establish and secure landing zones, coordinate closely with pilots and emergency services personnel, and assist with the safe loading and unloading of patients. HEMS personnel are expected to maintain exceptional situational awareness, demonstrate professionalism under pressure, and deliver high-quality patient care in dynamic environments. Through speed, precision, and teamwork, the HEMS Division helps ensure that life-saving medical interventions reach patients as quickly as possible when every second counts.
